Coldwell Banker Commercial Properties Unlimited closed a 28,655 s/f lease with a total aggregate value of $14 million at Two Manhattanville Rd. Closed by brokers Barry Shaw and Stanley Conway, it was one of Coldwell Banker Commercial's largest leases of 2007 and one of the largest leases completed in Westchester County.
Barry Shaw, senior managing director and Stanley Conway, managing director represented Kobrand Corp.
Kobrand is an international wine and spirits importer and exporter that is known for distributing quality products such as: Taittinger, Louis Jadot, Cakebread, Alize and Sequoia Grove. Kobrand, which has been operating for 40 years, originally started in the Empire State Building with two employees.
In response to business growth and a desire to operate on a single floor in a modern building, the company decided to initiate a search for a new headquarters that would expand their high-end image for the 21st century.
"Two Manhattanville Road, known as the Centre at Purchase, was chosen because of the high-end luxury image the complex afforded Kobrand," said Conway. The space features numerous corner offices, wood highlights throughout, executive dining rooms and numerous windowed support spaces that offer all employees light and views.
"After a two year search in New Jersey, Connecticut, Manhattan and Westchester, Kobrand found the Centre at Purchase a perfect fit for their offices and a showplace to highlight their products, conduct wine tastings and host numerous international events," said Shaw.
The Centre at Purchase, owned and operated by Related Properties, is an office complex located in Westchester County. The property features three steel and glass buildings surrounding a landscaped courtyard with fountains. Within the complex amenities include an executive dining facility, fitness center, excellent light and views. Tenants include Met Life, Apollo, Bank of New York and Smith Barney.
