Unconscious biases are social stereotypes about certain groups of people that individuals form outside their own conscious awareness. Everyone holds unconscious beliefs about various social and identity groups. Unconscious bias is far more prevalent than conscious prejudice and are often incompatible with one’s conscious values. IREM NYC’s DEI Committee invites everyone to join us on Thursday, September 28th at 1:00 for a complimentary webinar as we explore this important and relevant topic. “Unconscious Biases: what to do about them” will be presented by Charles Kellom, senior director, diversity, equity, and inclusion. It promises to be an insightful, thought-provoking discussion with plenty of time for Q&A. Register today at www.iremnyc.org
