Manhattan, NY JRT Realty Group named three outstanding college students that have joined their annual summer internship program.
In collaboration with “Ladders for Leaders”, New York City’s Summer Youth Employment program, these high-achieving and motivated students were chosen among their peers as being exceptional in their academics and extracurricular activities, as well as having an interest in business, real estate and matters surrounding Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I).
Katrina Roman is a rising sophomore at Iona University, majoring in Finance; Tiffany Luo is a rising junior at Cornell University’s SC Johnson College of Business, majoring in Hotel Administration; and Jade Yu is a rising sophomore at Bryn Mawr College, majoring in Economics and Asian Studies.
These young women were attracted to the common mission of JRT Realty and MWBE Unite, which is to provide equal access to, and opportunities for talented women, minorities and others in the commercial space. JRT’s founder and CEO, Jodi Pulice noted “Our interns will spend six weeks learning, not only about the technical aspects of our industry, but how we are working tirelessly, to make it a more equitable and diverse industry, especially for individuals who have been traditionally underrepresented.”
JRT’s chief operating officer, Andrew Judd, who manages the program with the city, said, “We will be building on the successes of previous programs so that we continue to create a pipeline of career opportunities for talented, and diverse young adults, while demonstrating that CRE can be a dynamic industry in which people from all backgrounds can pursue and enjoy rewarding careers. And once again, our program will place the students in a fast-paced business environment where they can gain valuable workplace experience and apply critical thinking, initiative, adaptability, and passion.”
