Eastern Consolidated recently appoints Karp and Harvey directors

According to Eastern Consolidated, Jeffrey Karp, R. William Harvey, Gregory Struck and Larry Koestler have joined the firm. Karp, a seasoned real estate attorney with over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry, rejoins Eastern Consolidated as a director. He will represent buyers and sellers in the acquisition and disposition of all property types.Prior to joining Eastern in his new post, Karp served as a special counsel with law firm Kelley Drye & Warren. As a senior member of the firm's Real Estate Practice Group, Karp represented clients in commercial real estate transactions. Karp received his juris doctor at Harvard Law School and graduated summa cum laude from University of Toledo with a bachelor of arts degree in Economics. He has served as an associate professor at the NYU Real Estate Institute. Harvey joins the firm as director focusing on the acquisition and disposition of a wide variety of property types. Prior to joining Eastern, Harvey was a member of Roxiticus Capital Management, where he focused on comprehensive multi-use redevelopment plans including affordable housing, retail, parking and community use components for sites in Newark, N.J. and Jamaica, N.Y. Harvey's professional affiliations include memberships in the Urban Land Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers, Society of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick and The N.Y. Athletic Club. He graduated from Columbia University with a master's degree in Real Estate Development and earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business. Struck joins the firm as an associate specializing in the acquisition and disposition of property types ranging from commercial, residential, and retail properties to development sites. Prior to joining Eastern, Struck worked as a director of business development for Core Group Marketing. His responsibilities included sourcing new properties for representation by liaising with top real estate developers and government officials, architects and commercial brokers. For the period 2007-08, he succeeded in generating over $400 million in signed and proposed deals. Struck is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, Young Real Estate Professionals of New York and Urban Land Institute. He is a graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Business Management. Koestler joins the firm as an associate specializing in the acquisition and disposition of a wide range of property types including office buildings, apartment buildings and retail space, among other assets. Prior to joining Eastern, Koestler was at CB Richard Ellis. During his tenure, his responsibilities included producing a wide variety of sophisticated internal and external communications and marketing materials in support of some of New York City's largest commercial real estate transactions. A graduate of Lehigh University, Koestler earned a bachelor of arts degree in Journalism with a minor in Psychology.
