In the past year, what project or accomplishment are you most proud of? By the tail end of the pandemic, Alban was redesigning office spaces for clients to provide safe and useful office work areas. As we settled into our new normal, I have been able to focus on growing the business and re committing to organizations. In the last 9 months, I have been recognized by Insider NJ, and ROINJ. Adrian Zerka was recognized as a Millennial to watch by Insider NJ. I am thrilled to be recognized and also looking forward to being able to spend more time pursuing business development and membership in trade associations.
What was a pivotal point in your career? I had been doing property management for almost 15 years, and my building on the Upper East side was getting a facelift including a full façade, lobby, and hallway renovation. At the time, there wasn’t a GC, so I stepped into the role and loved it! I worked hands on with the contractors, architects, designers, planners, city agencies, and of course the residents from start to finish. I felt like I had something come to life through the process. I stepped away from the thankless job of property management, and into creating and building spaces for people to enjoy.
