New York, NY IREM NYC held their annual dinner and awards on Thursday, March 2nd at 230 Fifth. The 250+ sold out crowd enjoyed an evening of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, a magician, and of course, an awards ceremony!
The evening included the installation of the chapter’s 2023 officers.
Nicole Loser, CPM and IREM regional vice president was on hand to conduct the ceremony.
Newly installed chapter president Randall Powell addressed the audience. Powell said, “IREM represents the pillar of property management and being a CPM has given me the ability to grow my business, build new relationships across the country and gain access to cutting-edge information.” He touched on the importance of embracing diversity, equity and inclusion in the property management industry, “IREM’s goal of focusing on diversity, equity and inclusion is one of the reasons I am in this position. I believe it’s a great opportunity to bring a more diverse population together across the industry and get them involved in our chapter. It will be one of my areas of focus during my tenure as the chapter president; to pursue a more expansive role in Diversity Equity Inclusion.”
Bright Power was awarded the Industry Partner of the Year award. The company is the premier provider of energy and water management services for real estate owners, investors and operators, offering solutions that deliver value to both the bottom line and the environment. They partnered with IREM NYC and conducted four webinars in 2022 specifically designed to educate property managers on the different local laws, such as LL97 and LL84, and how to be in compliance, avoid fines and save money. Nick Stolatis co-chair of the chapter’s energy sustainability committee presented the award to Jeff Perlman, Bright Power’s CEO, president and founder.
