Medford, NY Frederick Braun, chairman of the town of Brookhaven Industrial Development Agency (IDA) has closed on a package of economic incentives for a warehouse proposed by a New York City developer.
The closing involves incentives for WF Industrial XIII LLC, an affiliate of Wildflower Ltd., a New York City development firm.
WF Industrial XIII owns 10 acres of vacant land at 645 National Blvd. and intends to construct a 130,000 s/f industrial building at a cost of $33.8 million to meet growing demand for warehouse/distribution facilities.
The project will take about 12 months to complete and is expected to result in the creation of 40 full-time jobs and 5 part-time positions.
“This project will bring warehouse and distribution space with modern specifications such as high ceilings, heavy floor load capacity, wide column spacing and substantial electric services to a thriving industrial park in our town that in turn will bring new tenants, perhaps from outside of our immediate area, creating new jobs and economic opportunities,” said Braun.
