What person, project, transaction or market trend had the greatest impact on your industry this year? Although it’s across the river, the Jersey City development boom happening right now is really benefitting the whole New York City metro area. Many leading A/E/C companies, including KBE-NY, have been awarded excellent opportunities there, and our continued success can open more doors throughout the region.

What was your greatest professional accomplishment or most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2022? I feel a great sense of pride in the project I am currently managing in Jersey City. I am so happy that it started off successfully and look forward to continuing the positive trend we are experiencing. I am determined to do everything I can to ensure it ends successfully. 

How has your career path changed in 2022? In 2022, I have taken on a more senior, client-facing role within KBE-NY. I appreciate the professional development path they have provided for me and see this as an opportunity for me to succeed long-term at the company. I look forward to more growth in the future.  

What emerging trends will drive investment and development in 2023? I believe the development and investment potential in the larger metro area, beyond New York City proper, will be a driving force in construction in the next year ahead. In addition, I foresee commercial real estate being rezoned for other beneficial uses, as remote work continues to trend upward.
