Bronx, NY After only joining Gilco Realty less than one month prior, Juan Velez has leased out two stores. The first was 3012 Bailey Ave. to a beauty salon. The salon signed a multi-year lease to take the space. The space is located off I-87 and blocks from the 1 train giving clients access to the location. The second location was 3700 E Tremont Ave. where Velez found a clothing company that is expanding and will operate the location selling private label clothing and accessories.
Epifanio Vargas of Gilco leased 9525 Riverdale Ave. which he had received the exclusive less than three weeks prior. The new tenant will operate a medical transportation dispatch company from the location.
Pierre Jordan of Gilco Realty leased out a space at 111 Bruckner Blvd. to a law office. The law office is expanding their offices to the South Bronx from the Westchester County. This is the third space leased by Jordan in this building and sixth on this stretch of Bruckner Blvd. this year.
Michael Gilbert, broker at Gilco, leased the property at 1801 Bronxdale. The property is located on the corner of Morris Park. The property was operated as a restaurant supply store for 60+ years until recently. The property will be converted to a home furnishings store on the ground floor and basement and will convert the second floor into a catering hall. The construction is expected to take many months, so the tenant expects to open in Q2 2023.
Gilbert also leased 1125 Bronx River Ave. to Daro’s Extreme Fitness. This gym has operated in the Soundview area for 10+ Years. The gym is currently in the process of their buildout and expect to be open in the next few months.
