What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? In 2022, I’ve managed environmental risks for $700 million in transactions, begun leading Offit Kurman’s Environmental and Sustainability Group, and been recognized on the 2022 Waste360 40 under 40, the 2022 NJBiz Law Power 50, and received other industry awards, but I’m most proud of my work supporting the circular economy.
Tell us about a mentor or role model that has influenced your career choices? Dennis Krumholz hired me right out of Fordham. Dennis started his practice as many of the first environmental statutes were enacted, and he built a strong practice from the ground up based on his collegiality, intellect, and initiative. I hope to do the same at Offit Kurman.
What 3 skills do you consider the most important to be successful in your industry? Communication, communication, and communication. Practical, concise, authentic, communication. That includes active listening as well.
What is one lesson that you had to learn the hard way? You can’t say yes to everything.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? I am an avid yogi and a CrossFit devotee; I enjoy the peace and balance that yoga brings and the strength and grit that CrossFit requires. I also love to cook healthy food, read for pleasure, and walk in the woods or by the ocean.
