East Meadow, NY According to Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP, Gina Antoun, Alessandra Albano, and Rebecca Surujnarain have joined the firm as associates.
Antoun joined the Banking and Commercial Lending Group. Prior, Antoun was an associate bank attorney awaiting bar admission in the Garden City office of Joseph Faria, P.C. In this capacity, she represented commercial lenders in real estate closings.She earned her Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law in 2021 and her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Corporate Communications with a minor in Law and Policy from Baruch College in 2017. She is admitted to the state of New York.
Albano has joined the Real Estate Group. During the summers of 2019 and 2020, Albano was a summer associate in the Real Estate Group. Prior, Albano completed internships at Breaking Barriers and the Legal Aid Society of Suffolk County. She was a judicial extern for the honorable James Hudson, Suffolk County Supreme Court, Commercial Division, and she also worked as a legal assistant at Montefusco | Pammer, Attorneys at Law in Islandia, The Osborn Law Group in Southampton, and as a contributing writer for the Suffolk Lawyer. She earned her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2021 where she graduated in the top 10 of her class, and her Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s College in 2018 where she graduated in the top 20 of her class. She is admitted to practice in the state of New York.
Surujnarain has joined the Real Estate Group in the firm’s Hauppauge office. Prior, Surujnarain was an associate at Layliev Law, P.C., in Bayside. She drafted and negotiated real estate contracts, reviewed title and loan documents, attended closings and communicated with clients. After she earned her undergraduate degree, Surujnarain was a title closer and office manager for Citi Abstract Inc. in Queens for five years, where she was responsible for preparing for and overseeing real estate closings on behalf of the title company. Then she worked as a paralegal for a year before she decided to attend law school. She earned her Juris Doctor from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2021. She is admitted to practice in the state of New York.
