Brooklyn, NY Spur House Partners, a new investment sales firm, has hired Shlomo Gelernter, as managing director.
Spur House Partners provides full service commercial real estate brokerage services, along with asset management advisory for mixed use and multifamily property owners in the city.
Gelernter began his career in real estate as a broker at Marcus & Millichap’s Manhattan office. He transitioned into a senior acquisitions role at Pinkstone Capital. After a brief career in acquisitions, he worked as managing director of sales at Arch Equities and then in 2017 joined Besen Partners as a broker.
During his career, Gelernter has closed over $350 million in sales in his tenure as a broker. “I am excited to put both my experience working at big, small and boutique real estate companies and the best traits at each shop to work at Spur House Partners to make it a success,” he said.
Gelernter graduated with a dual degree in economics and international relations from Hobart & William Smith College in Geneva, N.Y.
Deciding to pursue a career in real estate while still competing in college NCAA football athletics, Gelernter declined an invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine, a week-long showcase where college football players perform physical and mental tests in front of National Football League coaches, general managers and scouts.
