Helmsley Spear expands with four new hires
New York, NY Helmsley Spear, LLC announced the hiring of four commercial real estate executives. They include Barbara Eddington as managing director, Dawn Chartoff as a director, Zach Fenno as a director, and Jaesung Yoon as an associate.
Barbara Eddington, Managing Director
Eddington will focus primarily on tenant represention in her new role at Helmsley Spear.
“Barbara has unique expertise in tenant representation with over thirty five years of experience in the commerical real estate field,” said Kent Swig, president of Helmsley Spear. “We are pleased to have her outstanding professional background as an addition to our leadership team.” 
Prior to Joining Helmsley Spear, LLC, Eddiington served as a senior agent at Murray Hill Properties (MHP) representing tenants in addition to acting as a leasing agent on commercial propoerties owned and manged by MHP. Eddington was also the exclusive leasing agent for 145 West 45th St. in the heart of the entertainment district and 12 East 41st St. known as the Real Estate Board Building.
Eddington began her real estate career as a commercial real estate leasing agent with the firm of Cross & Brown. She has represented numerous prestigous tenants in her career with recognition from many top industry organizations.

Eddington is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and the REBNY Grand Central Committee. She is very active with many charitable and philanthorpic organizations including The Authors Guild, The Arthur W Page Society, and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. In recogntion of her charitable efforts Barbara was awarded the REBNY Certificate of Appreciation for her generous devotion to volunteerim and charity. Barbara attended the New York University Stern School of Business with a concentration in real estate.
Dawn Chartoff, Director
Chartoff will focus on both landlord and tenant representation in the leasing and sales of commercial real estate properties..
“Dawn has decades of experience in the commerical real estate market working with top tier firms in the New York City metropolitan market,” said Swig. “Her outstanding professional background will be a great asset to both Helmsley Spear and the client’s we currently serve, as well as to our growing client base.” 
Prior to joining Helmsley Spear, Chartoff worked in the commercial real estate division of Brown Harris Stevens, and was with the Lansco Corporation working alongside her colleague Brett Zelner.
Chartoff began her professional career in the public sector working for the New York City Department of Consumer Affiars, before her initial real estate position with Bernstein Real Estate.

Chartoff graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University also holds a Master of Public Administration from the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs. She has also gained expertise in digital marketing at both FIT and New York University.
Chartoff is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
Zach Fenno, Director
Fenno will focus primarily on tenant represenation in the New York City commercial real estate market. 
“Zach has unique expertise working for years with some of the nation’s most esteemed non profit organizations, in addtion to working with ownership in top commerical real estate buildings in New York City,” said Swig. “We are pleased to have his outstanding professional background as an addition to our growing team.”
Prior to joining Helmsley Spear, Fenno was with Avison Young and represented The Samuel Bronfman Foundation, and financial services firms such as Hanwah Holidings as well the ownership at 654 Madison Ave.
Fenno began his professional career in the live music industry as a talent agent organizing major performance tours for internationally acclaimed artists.

Fenno earned his Bachelor’s degree in political science from Bates College.
Jaesung Yoon, Associate
Yoon will focus primarily on the development of leasing and investment sales opportunities in commercial real estate.
“Jaesung has unique international expertise with years of expertise in both the South Korean and United States commerical real estate markets,” said Swig. “We are pleased to have his
outstanding professional background as an addition to our growing team.”
Prior to joining Helmsley Spear, Yoon served as a business analyst with Lotte, one of the largest hotel operator in South Korea. While with Lotte, he specailized in feasiblity analysis of the Lotte hotel acquisitions throughout the United States.
Yoon has developed and maintained strong business relationships with Korean institutional investors along with a significant number of property owners both in the New York City and international commercial real estate markets.

Yoon earned his Bachelor’s degree from Hanyang University in Seoul, Korea and a Master’s degree in real estate from Columbia University. He is fluent in both Korean and English.
