New York, NY Argo Real Estate, a privately-owned, full service real estate firm debuts in Crain’s New York Business annual ranking of the 100 Best Places to Work in New York City in 2021. Out of 100 companies selected, Argo Real Estate ranked #94 overall. This award was based on a survey of employee satisfaction. It is also highly unusual for a real estate management company to make this list.
“It’s an incredible honor for the Argo team to be named to this list,” said Mark Moskowitz, president of Argo. “Argo has always been a family, and you will not find a harder working, more collaborative, more genuinely caring group of people than the employees of Argo Real Estate.”
As a management company, Argo is an “essential employer,” which means operations were never paused. In the first few months of the crisis, employees stepped up to organize virtual events like Meditation Mondays and Wellness Wednesdays, and then came to together to raise money to supply meals to healthcare workers.
Beyond providing a robust employee benefits package, Argo Real Estate has many ways of showing employees how much they matter. President Mark Moskowitz’s “open-door policy” applies to everyone in the firm. Transparent internal communications, including periodic “All-Hands” meetings, keep everyone abreast of issues. And the longtime tradition Annual Thanksgiving Potluck brings together the diverse culinary traditions of all of Argo’s employees, who cook the dishes themselves.
All of this translates into employee and client retention. Argo’s employee engagement and loyalty rates and average client tenure are unusually high for the real estate management industry.
The Best Places to Work in New York City award program identifies and recognizes the city's best employers. Crain's partnered with Best Companies Group, an independent research firm, to survey more than 20,000 employees across all five boroughs and various industries to assess work environment, leadership, company culture, and benefits. Best Companies Group is in charge of managing the entire process from distributing the surveys, analyzing the data, and determining the final rankings.
The award was fully acknowledged on September 23, 2021.
