Brooklyn Heights, NY Argo Real Estate welcomes its newest affiliate, Advance Management Services (AMS). AMS is a boutique property management firm that represents a wide range of upscale cooperative and condominium residences throughout the borough.
Argo Real Estate’s history of ownership, property management, and brokerage dates back to 1952. Its third-party management division, Argo Management, launched in 1986 and is currently responsible for more than 10,000 units of cooperative and condominium residences, the majority of which are in prewar, doorman buildings.
In Manhattan, Argo manages residences in Soho, Chelsea, the Upper West Side, and the Upper East Side. In Queens, most of its client buildings are located in such prominent neighborhoods as Forest Hills and Kew Gardens.
“There is tremendous synergy between our companies, especially in terms of client focus and ethical standards,” said Mark Moskowitz, Chairman, Argo Real Estate. “This is an opportunity for Argo to expand its footprint into Brooklyn with a well-respected, proven brand. At the same time, AMS is benefiting from the scale of our inhouse services, as well as our award-winning educational programs, such as Argo University.”
AMS, which has focused on third-party property management since inception, will now have access to a host of new services that include brokerage, compliance, technology, and procurement, among others. The privately-owned company, founded in 1989 by Steve Kramberg, president, is recognized borough-wide for its commitment to service and expertise in capital projects.
Kramberg said, “AMS has been approached numerous times by national and local property management conglomerates in the market to acquire privately-owned, boutique firms with solid reputations. But we never wanted to be part of a company too big for the kind of personal service for which we are known. Argo’s standing in the industry and commitment to its clients mirrors our own standards.”
The affiliation between Argo and AMS launched in September.
