JLL brokers six lease transactions totaling 148,118 s/f
New York, NY JLL completed the following lease transactions:
- A 44,333 s/f sublease at 41 East 11th St. for sublandlord Northwestern Mutual. Subtenant Alloy signed a five-year sublease for the entire second and third floors. Northwestern Mutual was represented by Scott Vinett, executive VP, with JLL. Alloy was represented by Michael Thomas, senior managing director, with Colliers.
- A total of 42,821 s/f at 505 Fifth Ave. for building owner Stawski Partners. Mesoblast Inc., signed for 16,052 s/f; Brean Capital, LLC signed for 16,052 s/f; and Brownstone Investment Group, LLC signed for 10,717 s/f. Paul Glickman, vice chairman and Diana Biasotti, senior VP, Kyle Young, VP and Kristen Morgan, associate VP with JLL, represented Stawski Partners in all three leases. Matthew Astrachan, also vice chairman of JLL, represented Brean Capital, while Mesoblast and Brownstone Investment Group were represented by CBRE, David Glassman and Silvio Petriello, respectively.
- A transaction with Carlyle and SL Green Realty Corp. enabling Carlyle to expand into 33,924 s/f on the full 32nd floor of One Vanderbilt. The transaction expands Carlyle’s presence from 160,778 s/f on floors 34 through 38 to a total of 194,702 s/f. The JLL team representing Carlyle included Joe Messina and Steven Rotter, vice chairmen, and Jessica Berkey and Andrew Lutzer, managing directors, with JLL’s New York City office; and Gregory Lubar and Steve Spartin, Jr., vice chairmen, with the firm’s Washington D.C. office. Raymond Sanseverino, chair, real estate, and Talia Englander, associate, with Loeb & Loeb LLP served as legal counsel to Carlyle.
- A 27,040 s/f sublease for Butler Hospitality Corp. at Global Holdings Management Group’s NOMAD TOWER, 1250 Broadway. Butler leased the entire 10th floor at NOMAD TOWER from sublandlord Zillow. Butler was represented by Matthew Astrachan, vice chairman; Kristen Morgan, associate VP, and Lance Yasinsky, associate with JLL. Zillow was represented by Ed Wartels and Justin Halpern with Cushman & Wakefield.
