New York, NY Professional Women in Construction has four active committees with regularly events planned. The committees are:
- MWBE,
- Mentorship,
- Professional Development Advisory Council, and
- Membership.
The PWC MWBE Committee hosted a panel discussion with C.U.R.E. (Council of Urban Real Estate) on April 15th, 2021. This was the first collaborative discussion between PWC and CURE to discuss each organization’s mission, MWBE opportunities, and current industry topics.
Giuliana Alamonti, a PWC MWBE Committee member, made a wonderful introduction to both PWC and C.U.R.E., followed by Daniel Chatter of C.U.R.E. discussing many topics including growth within the real estate market post pandemic, strategic approaches together to pursue and win projects, and potential collaborative future events co-hosted by PWC and C.U.R.E.
All attendees were separated into active breakout rooms where everyone was able to intimately network and make professional connections. The event was concluded on a high note with a clear vision for all of both PWC and C.U.R.E.’s mission within the MWBE community, and prospective future collaborations between both organizations.
