The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International's entry-level education course Foundations of Real Estate Management has been adopted by BOMA local associations across the U.S. who will be offering the course this fall. The course was developed to address the lack of quality, comprehensive education for entry-level property professionals. With recruiting and retaining young talent a concern in all markets, the course provides students with an understanding of commercial property management functions to supplement on-the-job training and ensure that professionals are set up to thrive in the industry. After a successful pilot program launch by BOMA International and the Apartment and Office Building Association (AOBA), several BOMA local associations have decided to offer the course. Along with AOBA in capitol, BOMA local associations in Cleveland, suburban Chicago, Denver, and Seattle will be offering Foundations of Real Estate Management this fall. BOMA/Dallas is scheduled to offer the program beginning in January of 2009. Foundations of Real Estate Management will be offered through these BOMA local associations: BOMA/Greater Cleveland on September 19, 26; October 3, 10, and 17 AOBA will offer the course in the metro Washington area on October 3, 10, 17, 22 and 29; BOMA/Suburban Chicago on October 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31; BOMA/Metro Denver on October 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31; BOMA/Seattle-King County will hold the course on October 8, 15, 22, 29 and November 5; BOMA/Dallas will offer the course on January 30, February 6, 13, 20 and 27.
