How have you adapted and changed in the last 12 months?
The last 12 months has taught me that we can accomplish anything, anywhere despite the obstacles we are faced with. I have tried to remain open-minded and flexible. I have learned that it is okay to work differently whether from my home, or elsewhere and whether remotely or in person, and still be effective. I have learned that the world around us may change, but if we can adapt to challenges we will always continue to be successful.
How do you keep your team motivated despite conflicts and obstacles?
I try to keep my team motivated by letting each member of the team know how important he or she is. No one member is more or less essential than another. If everyone feels like an integral part of the team, I believe each person will be motivated to accomplish the end goal. Any conflicts or obstacles should be handled head on, as a team.
Women have made significant progress in the last year towards equality in the workplace. How do you advocate for your fellow women in real estate?
I have the privilege of working alongside many female attorneys who concentrate in real estate, commercial lending, and real estate litigation. Many of my clients are in the real estate sector. I recently was named to the partnership, and I am grateful for the support and teamwork from all of my partners.
What books or social media influencers would you recommend to other women?
“I Don’t Know How She Does It” by Alison Pearson, a fictional tale about a working mother juggling it all. It will make you laugh and is very relatable for working moms out there.
In the past year, what project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of?
I have represented clients in various litigation matters. Nothing makes me happier than helping a client resolve a conflict with their adversary without the necessity of protracted litigation. I am most satisfied when a resolution is reached and both parties feel they have won.
What steps have you taken to ensure the continued success of your firm?
I believe the success of a firm is measured by the satisfaction of our clients. I do my best to work well with our clients, be responsive to their needs, and ensure they are happy with the outcomes we produce. I treat every client as if he or she is my most important. Every client is deserving of attention and professionalism, as no issue or matter is too small.
