Westbury, NY MoCA, a fine dining Asian fusion restaurant popular throughout the region, will be hosting diners in 2021, at Samanea New York, 1500 Old Country Rd., according to a joint statement by Samanea and MoCA’s principle, Johnson Chen.
Samanea New York marketing director David Ackerman said, “MoCA has a much deserved reputation for extraordinary food, attentive service and a popular following. We are delighted that they have signed a long term lease for over 9,000 s/f of space that will allow an ever growing audience to enjoy their cuisine when it opens next year under our roof.”
MoCA will be assuming part of the square footage facing Old Country Rd. currently occupied by P.F. Chang, a restaurant that will not be reopening at Samanea New York.
MoCA combines elements of different Asian culinary traditions and various forms of cookery into a single eating experience. Their classically trained chefs take personal pride in the quality and creativity of original dishes that combine ingredients from popular Asian cuisines.
According to one reviewer online, “Love love love this place. Moca is anything you want it to be. It can be a casual dinner or your Saturday night out. The service is great and decor is beautiful. But most importantly, the food is fantastic. I have been here multiple times and never had anything that wasn’t amazing. Additionally, I have a severe nut allergy that they take very seriously, which I appreciate...”
Ackerman said, “Clearly the current COVID-19 has impacted today’s restaurants and retail but we all recognize that when this shadow retreats, and a vaccine is found, Long Islanders will seek the simple pleasure of good food, good friends, and good times. MoCA, and Samanea New York will be their destination.”
