Brooklyn, NY According to developer Sugar Hill Capital Partners, One Prospect Park West has officially launched sales. The residential development was designed by Workstead.

Built in 1925 by the Knights of Columbus, the 10-story Classical Revival building overlooks Grand Army Plaza and Prospect Park and served as a clubhouse and hotspot for society events. The club featured a ballroom, hotel rooms for members and guests, a restaurant, a bowling alley, a billiards’ hall, an indoor swimming pool, club rooms and council chambers.

Now, the developer is renovating and converting the building into a residential condominium located on Prospect Park, with interiors by Workstead. The building offers 64 condominium residences comprising mostly two- to four-bedrooms with over 40 floor plans featuring locally-sourced design details. These hallmarks include arched entryways, reclaimed pinewood flooring, custom crown molding, custom Waterworks fixtures and large windows. One Prospect Park West will also feature Workstead’s new line of custom lighting, the Park Collection, which has been inspired by the development.

Building amenities include a private curated art gallery, residents’ library, spa and wellness amenities, basketball court, movement studio for dance and yoga, boutique fitness studio for classes and personal training, bicycle storage, and an expansive rooftop meadow designed by ODA New York.

Sales are being handled by a Douglas Elliman Development Marketing team led by Doug Bowen and Patty LaRocco.

One Prospect Park West is the first residential development designed by Workstead, a locally-based design studio known for its interiors, furniture, and lighting collections. Workstead has converted industrial buildings and even unused lobby areas into warm, inviting spaces (Williamsburg’s Wythe Hotel, Tribeca’s Arcade Bakery), and this is the firm’s first full residential building.
