Which project, deal, or transaction was the “game-changer” in the advancement of your career?
The acquisition of 117-137 West 141st St. in Harlem. We acquired 144 units from Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. for $20.3 million in 2013. It was the first acquisition that I underwrote and closed from start to finish. We sold it for $42.1 million three years later.
How do you contribute to your community or your profession?
I teach real estate finance and investment analysis in NYU’s Schack RE Master’s Program. Through this course, students gain insight into real estate fundamentals, such as financial modeling, as well as deal negotiation and structuring.
What led you to your current profession?
After I graduated college, I began working at a real estate private equity firm. I worked long hours creating financial models and underwriting transactions. This opportunity was a great experience that advanced my career.

George Clooney. Don’t you see the resemblance?

Analyzing and structuring investment opportunities to create value for investors.
What can our political leaders do to increase equality in the workplace?
Our politicians should continue to work towards equal opportunities and payment equality in the workplace.
Who or what inspires you?
My family inspires and pushes me to work hard and succeed. Their support has been instrumental to my growth.
