Brooklyn, NY RXR Realty, a leading real estate owner, operator, and developer in the New York Tri-State area, in partnership with Resident, a locally-based hospitality startup that supports up-and-coming chefs, welcomed the newest chef to participate in the culinary residency program at 475 Clermont.
475 Clermont residents will enjoy dinners and wine pairings hosted by chef Adriana Urbina within her apartment, a full-time resident of the building. Since 2011, Urbina has run Tepuy Dining, her pop-up and private dining initiatives, and been invited to bring the concept to ten cities internationally. In addition to her work with Tepuy, Urbina was the executive chef at the James Beard-award winning Nolita eatery, De Maria. She is also a three-time winner of the Food Network’s Chopped and the only Latin American female chef to have won the title.
“We are excited to welcome Adriana to 475 Clermont. We believe experiential programming is the next evolution of amenities and creating a unique culinary experience by having a live-in chef create five-star level dishes truly enhances the living experience in a memorable way,” said Scott Rechler, chairman and CEO of RXR Realty.
The innovative residency culinary program, which RXR launched with Resident at the building last year, breaks down the barriers of traditional dining by connecting emerging culinary talent directly to building residents via one-of-a-kind, fine dining experiences.
“Resident was founded on the principle of supporting the next generation of star chefs by creating memorable dining experiences. The intimate supper club format allows our chefs to freely test ideas, meet people, and hear feedback, while guests discover new talent and are treated to an incredible experience,” said Brian Mommsen, founder of Resident.
475 Clermont’s monthly dining experiences are part of the building’s amenities package, which includes a 24-hour attended lobby, landscaped courtyard fwith 90-ft. custom mural by Mona Caron; business center; indoor/outdoor children’s playroom; indoor/outdoor fitness center including Peloton bikes; yoga studio; pet spa and rooftop terrace and lounge featuring an outdoor movie screen, grilling stations, dining areas, catering kitchens, bocce court, and game tables; private resident and bike storage; and onsite parking. Dinners will be open to all residents by reservation with up to 10 seats available. Every building resident will get two tickets to a dinner, distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Residents can also request a private event at a special rate.
Located at the nexus of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, 475 Clermont is a 12-story building featuring a collection of 363 rental homes ranging from studios to two-bedroom homes, paired with a suite of lifestyle amenities. A luxurious one-bedroom residence will serve as Urbina’s home, as well as the venue for the monthly private dinners. The interiors of the residence have been transformed into the ultimate supper club, featuring furniture by Hem and artwork by local New York artists Iman Raad, Vincent Stracquadanio, and Katharine Marais.
