New York, NY S9 Architecture, designers of Dock 72 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Empire Stores in Brooklyn, and Ponce City Market in Atlanta, have promotion of Younsung Chung, Reza Rahimpour and Dryden Razook to the role of principal.

Chung, Rahimpour, and Razook join principals Sital Patel and Paul Carr as members of the firm’s leadership team, each bringing complementary skills to the company. Patel manages the organizational and operational processes at S9 Architecture, strategically building the business. Carr’s expertise in multi-family and mixed-use work and project management gives depth to the continued growth of the firm, whose current projects include 77 Charlton and 111 Varick in New York City, Admirals Row and Building 127 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and Camp North End in Charlotte, NC. 

Currently overseeing the design and construction of 111 Varick, Camp North End, and the Cleveland Foundation Headquarters, Chung joined S9 Architecture as a senior designer in 2014. He holds a bachelor of architecture degree from Seoul National University and a master of science in Advanced Architectural Design degree from Columbia University

With S9 Architecture since 2013, Rahimpour is leading the design of such large-scale developments as Bronx Point, Willets Point, and Neuhoff in Nashville. He is a graduate of Tehran University, where he earned a master of architecture degree

A specialist in mega-projects, Razook joined S9 Architecture in 2016. He currently heads work on 7 Hanover Sq., Midway St. Paul, and 222 Mitchell St. in Atlanta. Razook received a master of architecture degree from Yale University and a bachelor of arts in Economics degree from University of Virginia.
