Manhattan, NY Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) has arranged a 70,728 s/f office lease for accounting firm Marcum LLP at 730 Third Ave. NKF’s executive managing director Ross Perlman and senior managing director Lee Brodsky represented the tenant. Ownership was represented by Neil King and Paul Amrich of CBRE.
Marcum will relocate its headquarters office to 730 Third Ave. from its current space at 750 Third Ave., adding over 10,000 s/f as the firm experiences continued growth across the country. The new space is an upgrade for Marcum, which has offices in more than 30 cities across the U.S., and includes access to a wraparound terrace and the opportunity for logo signage in the building’s lobby. The firm expects to move into the property by early 2021.
“Marcum is a dynamic, growing firm that was looking to upgrade the quality of its workplace with their expansion, while staying within its current submarket,” said Perlman. “Having partnered with Marcum through the years, we understood the importance of identifying a location that would support the firm’s business needs, most importantly its future growth and recruitment goals.”
730 Third Ave. is a 27-story, 665,110 s/f office tower near Grand Central Terminal. The building’s ownership is working on a large project to reimagine the space, adding two new lobbies, double-height storefronts and a 35,000 s/f amenity center that will include a tenant-exclusive food hall, a fitness center, and a conference center. The building will also have a 7,000 s/f roof terrace on the 22nd floor available to all tenant use.
