Lindenhurst, NY TRITEC Real Estate Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for The Wel, a 260-unit apartment complex on a 7-acre lot located across the street from the LIRR Lindenhurst Train Station and a few blocks east of Wellwood Ave. (“Main St.”)
TRITEC develops and builds apartments, office, medical, retail and mixed-use projects along the east coast, including New Village at Patchogue, The Shipyard at Port Jeff Harbor, The Alston at Station Square in Ronkonkoma, and The Jameson at Kincora in Loudoun County, VA. The Wel, named after Thomas Welwood, one of the founding fathers of Lindenhurst, is TRITEC’s first development within the town of Babylon.
“We are excited to have reached this key milestone and to be providing the Lindenhurst community with high-quality multifamily residential opportunities. We look forward to adding more feet on the street to help serve as a catalyst in the revitalization of downtown Lindenhurst,” says Kelley Heck, VP of TRITEC Development Group.
The building will incorporate a wide range of unparalleled amenity offerings, including a fitness and aerobics center, roof deck, club lounge, entertainment kitchen, billiards room, dog spa, bike repair station, outdoor pool, barbeque grills, fire pit, two landscaped courtyards, mailroom, and covered parking (for 51 spaces).
TRITEC Building Company serves as the project’s construction manager. The project’s design and engineering consultants include BHC Architecture, EMTEC, MRA, VHB, BBV, and Vachris.
TRITEC finalized the purchase of the 7-acre property from Lakeville Kitchen & Bath in March of 2019, with SunTrust Bank providing the construction financing. The project is scheduled to deliver the single three- and four-story 260-unit apartment building in the spring of 2021.
