Manhattan, NY Mark Kapnick, executive vice president/principal, and Michael Watson, associate director, of Lee & Associates NYC have negotiated a ground-floor, 1,250 s/f lease at 375 Sixth Ave., between Washington and Waverly Places, for Uni K Wax. The tenant was represented by Goldco Realty. Uni K Wax is expected to open in the new space in June and the lease term is 10 years.
“Uni K Wax has gained a rather large following in Manhattan over the past few years,” said Kapnick, whose leasing team represented ownership, RSP Properties. “They offer a beauty service that residents of Greenwich Village will appreciate having close to home. The studio will be in good company on this portion of Sixth Ave., which is filled with retail stores, beauty service providers and restaurants.”
The all-natural waxing brand uses a proprietary elastic-wax formula that is gluten-free and ensures maximum comfort even for those with sensitive skin. Offering 160 different waxing services, Uni K Wax prioritizes sanitation first and foremost. The brand has locations throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens in addition to outposts in New Jersey, Florida and Iowa.
Surrounding retailers and restaurants include barre3, Vada Spa and Laser Center, Liquiteria, Olio e Piú, Babbo and Bar Pitti. 375 Sixth Ave. is located across the street from the entrance to the West 4th St.-Washington Sq. station, which is home to the A, C, E, B, D, F and M trains as well as numerous bus lines.
