Metzger of Cohen and Co. handles new retail leases and renewals at Nostrand Ave. properties in Brooklyn

Cohen and Company Inc., Real Estate (CCIRE) recently completed the following new retail space leases and renewals at Nostrand Avenue between Avenues Y & Z in the Sheepshead Bay area of Brooklyn: Rebecca Metzger, director of leasing for CCIRE, brokered a new 5-year lease to The Army Corp. of Engineers Career Center allowing them to occupy 1,700 s/f of ground floor retail space at 3800 Nostrand Ave. The asking rent was $44 per s/f with NNN of $4 per s/f. Metzger also brokered a new 5-year lease to Viewpoint Optical allowing them to continue occupying their existing premises totaling 1,200 s/f at 3826 Nostrand Ave. Since they had no lease options to renew, they entered a new lease prior to their current lease's expiration date in February 2008. The asking rent was $44 per s/f with NNN of $4 per s/f.
