What was your company’s greatest achievement of 2018?
Continuing to maintain our intentional culture even in the face of expansion and growth.
What do you like the most about doing business in the Rochester Region?
Rochester’s skilled workforce and educated talent pool are very important economic factors to an architecture/engineering firm. It makes recruiting for many positions much easier than some parts of the country. The quality of life in our region and commitment to community makes it a special place to work and live.
The Rochester community has a deep rooted history of philanthropy, volunteering and caring. People come out in droves to support charities, raise money and help neighbors. Clark Patterson Lee (CPL) and its staff value this giving mentality, not only in the Rochester region, but throughout our 15 markets. Our design work centers around projects that make a difference in the communities that we work and live, be it improving hospitals’ acute facilities, local library expansions, K-12 school renovations or creating recreational trails and parks. We thrive on inspirational designs that have profound impacts on quality of life. CPL was established in Rochester in 1975 and now boasts 140 local employees and 430 nationally that all share these common philosophies. Our values and culture are very much tied into our daily work, client needs and staff satisfaction. Being a part of the fabric of the Rochester community is extremely important to us and we are thrilled to continue growing our practice in this region.
