Founded over 15 years ago by childhood friends Dave Creo and Paul Moncada, New York Ravioli & Pasta Co. manufactures and distributes premium fresh ravioli and assorted pastas for the wholesale and retail marketplace, focusing on sales to specialty stores. The product line includes 34 varieties of pastas in different shapes and sizes, from traditional cheese or spinach and cheese to more exotic fillings like goat cheese and herb with black pepper, smoked salmon with fresh dill, broccoli rabe and fresh mozzarella. The products are known for their freshness with no preservatives or additives being used. In addition to pasta products, the company also offers a full line of Italian specialty items including olives, oils and sauce. NY Ravioli even patented a special children's ravioli in different entertaining shapes.
Operating in leased space in Mineola, the company is one of the last manufacturers in the area. It is committed to staying and growing in the region with plans to expand its retail and catering business as well as its product lines. Recently, the company had the opportunity to purchase its leased space that will enable it to expand operations, stabilize costs, and make plans for future expansions.
Financing for the purchase has been provided by Commerce Bank with support from the Long Island Development Corp. under the SBA 504 loan program. The 12,500 s/f building houses manufacturing, distribution and office space for this growing company.
According to Steve Molfetta, VP LIDC, who handled the deal, " This is a Long Island manufacturer with a proud tradition of making superior products. The principals are creative and dedicated to their industry and community. LIDC is proud to be part of financing this important project for our region."
