The New York Commercial Real Estate Women's Network, Inc. (NYCREW ) recently hosted a panel discussion featuring financial planning experts from a broad range of disciplines, including risk management, trust and estate law, investments and financial planning.
The audience learned about the most common mistakes that investors make; basic issues to consider in preparing for one's financial future; estate planning and how to be better prepared for unforeseen events; and how to make one's savings last a lifetime.
The panel was moderated by Laura Walker, vice president and regional relationship manager at Citibank, and chair of NYCREW's sponsorship committee. The panel consisted of: Susan Owens a financial planning director at UBS; Andrea Schancker a trust and estates attorney with Schancker and Hochberg; Stephanie Scarlata of global asset management at UBS; and Deanna Weiss, senior vice president and director special handling unit at Citi Family Office.
The event was kicked off with a tour of UBS's private art collection, led by Andrea Wenglowsky, the firm's "art concierge." A vast selection of pieces ranging from Anselm Kiefer to Jasper Johns was on display.
The event was fully sponsored by Leila Larijani, a financial advisor at UBS and a NYCREW member.
