CREW NY holds annual Members Luncheon, Leading Ladies of Real Estate and Spring Networking

Barbara Champoux, Champoux Law Group, CREWNY Network and member recognition chair (left), announced the winner of the 2018 Career Advancement for Women Impact Award, Kenne Shepherd, principal and founder of Kenne Shepherd Interior Design Architecture (center). Serving in the position that Barbara now holds, Kenne created CREW Connections, small-scale networking events for members only, and initiated annual awards that acknowledge members and sponsors. Michele is a former CREWNY president who is currently serving as co-chair of CREWNY’s 40th Anniversary Gala. A PE and LEED AP, Michele is a principal at Langan, director of the firm’s civil engineering practice in New York City, and a local and national leader of Women@Langan which she co-founded.

Manhattan, NY The annual CREWNY Members Only Luncheon, held at the historic Harmonie Club on East 60th St., included a keynote address by Purnima Kapur, executive director of the New York City Department of City Planning, (at podium) who shared her personal story as well as future plans for development in the five boroughs.

The luncheon included the announcement of CREWNY’s 2018 Founders’ Award recipient. Chosen by the current president, the Founders’ Award is given to a CREWNY member who has made consistent and outstanding contributions to the core mission of the organization.
