Queens, NY Tishman Speyer, the developer of Jackson Park in Long Island City, has launched the leasing for all three residential towers. The completion date is slated for end of year. The model units were designed by BHDM. The project team also includes: Mack Scogin Merrill Elam and Hill | West as the architects; Clodagh Design as the designer; HMWhite as the landscape architect; and The Wright Fit as the fitness consultant and amenities operator.
The development will feature a stand-alone five-story, 45,000 s/f amenity clubhouse dubbed The Club at Jackson Park, which will overlook the private park.
The Club will provide access for residents and below grade connectivity to each of the three residential towers, perfect for families who need to move around with young children, strollers, dogs, etc. Additional features include a demo kitchen accompanied by a private dining and conference room, a game area complete with golf simulator, poker table, billiards, foosball and flat screen television, and a fully equipped tech bar. Adjacent to the lounge is an outdoor patio and lounge outfitted with a wet bar, hanging garden and shuffleboard.
The second level of The Club features a fitness studio curated by Jay Wright, who is renowned for his work on the fitness facilities at 56 Leonard, the MoMA Tower, 15 Central Park West and 50 United Nations Plaza. A leader in the health and wellness industry, Wright hand-selected each piece of equipment from global brands including the cult-favorite Peloton Cycle bike to the GRATZ Universal Reformer. In addition to an unparalleled assortment of fitness equipment, residents will have access to up to 21 classes per week led by The Wright Fit affiliates.
The Club continues on the third floor with a spa, sauna and steam rooms, a quiet meditation lounge and changing rooms. A 75-ft. indoor lap pool features three lanes and a separate section reserved for more social aquatic activities. Professional grade full size basketball/volleyball and squash courts take up the entirety of the fourth floor. Topping off the club is a rooftop, ideal for hosting family and friends complete with an outdoor social pool and hot tub surrounded by cabanas, chaise lounges and communal tables, all set against the New York City skyline.
In addition to The Club, each tower features its own signature Skydeck amenities including an outdoor roof terrace, party room and lounge and children’s playrooms, allowing all Jackson Parkresidents the opportunity to take in the spectacular 360-degree views.
Landscape architects HMWhite conceptualized the almost two-acre private park that defines and unifies Jackson Park with its expansive, central green space, a standout amenity that is truly unique in the marketplace. A series of outdoor seating areas and experiences line the periphery of the park, and include a children’s playground, dog park, bocce court, barbeque grills, picnic tables and outdoor ping pong. Copses of Aspen trees are dominant throughout the park, while plants native to the East River are incorporated to seamlessly integrate the surrounding area. The meadow-like landscape flows to the lobby plaza and public retail promenade, transforming the neighboring areas into a tranquil haven nestled within the vibrant Queens community.
