How did you get your start in your current field? 

One of my best friends married the daughter of the head of the real estate department at Sage Gray Todd & Sims. He was my original mentor. 

How do you motivate or inspire your colleagues? 

I try to motivate my colleagues the same way I used to coach five-year-olds in soccer: positive reinforcement. 

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I plan to continue to help Romer Debbas be a key player in middle market commercial real estate lending. It is the goal of the firm to continue to expand its presence in the world of middle market commercial real estate lending with a reputation for efficient, cost-effective, practical legal advice. It is a challenge I love. Commercial lending market in New York is highly dynamic because the players are constantly changing, whether it is banks exiting or entering the market by expanding their footprint or private equity firms funding construction loans and playing in the more traditional middle market space.
