What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2017?  

Over the course of 2017, I was proud to have several articles published and to be interviewed multiple times for various publications (including my favorite New York Real Estate Journal), while also being recognized as a Super Lawyer Rising Star for Construction Litigation.

What was the best decision you made in 2017 and why?  

The best decision I made was to volunteer my time to speak at several construction industry events about the common pitfalls facing developers, contractors and subcontractors in construction law.  I am a big fan of educating people so that they can avoid the mistakes that have befallen others.

Who or what contributed to your success in 2017 and why?  

The biggest reason for my continued success is my desire to help others succeed.  I am a big fan of karma and truly believe that if I help others, good things will come to me (whether directly or indirectly).  In 2017, this philosophy has paid big dividends.

What trends will impact your business in 2018?

The continued building boom in New York, both in commercial and public works projects, should continue to keep me very busy. Also, it is anticipated that in 2018 the federal government should be passing some federal construction spending bill which should have bipartisan support which should increase the need for construction contract review and construction litigation.
