Manhattan, NY On Wednesday September 27th, real estate networking organization REDinNYC along with RBC Wealth Management senior vice president Richard Fitzburgh hosted an All Star investment luncheon at Fifth Ave.’s Langham Place Hotel. Over 80 guests attended the afternoon event.
Topics of the day included “Investing in Professional Sports,” with David Checketts, managing partner of the private equity firm, Checketts Partners Investment Management. Charles Baker of O’Melveny’s Sports Industry Practice co- chaired the discussion and Jason Kelly of Bloomberg moderated. An overview of the New York City Real Estate market with Madison Equities’ CEO Robert Gladstone followed in the discussion.
The audience heard market insights from Mario Gabelli, founder and CEO of Gabelli Asset Management Company Investors; Brett Hickey, founder and CEO of Star Mountain Capital; Martin Schultz, managing director of PNC Capital Advisors; and concluded with Jenny Van Leeuwen Harrington, CEO and portfolio manager at Gillman Hill Asset Management.
