Queens, NY Tishman Speyer has revealed additional details for Jackson Park, a trio of high-rise rental towers with 1,800 apartments and 120,000 s/f of indoor and outdoor amenities including a private, 1.6-acre park. Located along Queens Plaza South and Jackson Ave. with views of Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn, Jackson Park’s three residential towers recently topped out and rise 42, 44 and 53 stories high.
Designed by Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects and Hill West Architects (formerly Goldstein, Hill and West), Jackson Park occupies a full city block and will feature a variety of apartment types and floor plans for every lifestyle. Residents will have access to a standalone five-story, 45,000 s/f amenity clubhouse with below grade connectivity to each of the three residential towers. Leasing for Jackson Park is slated to launch in the fall with move-ins for the first residential tower anticipated by year-end.
“In keeping with our tradition of creating sophisticated living and dynamic work environments in the world’s top markets, Jackson Park is destined to become Long Island City’s most desirable address,” said Rob Speyer, CEO of Tishman Speyer. “Tishman Speyer is a pioneer in Long Island City, which has established itself as New York’s most dynamic and sought-after neighborhood. We are excited to deliver a truly 24/7 community where New Yorkers can live, work and play, complete with best-in-class amenities and convenient access to everything New York has to offer.”
Jackson Park comes at a time of unprecedented growth for Long Island City, one of the city’s fastest growing neighborhoods. With access to six major subway lines, including the E, M, R, 7, N, and W trains, Jackson Park is a 10-minute ride to Midtown Manhattan. The entrances to the G train at Court Sq. and to the Queensbridge F train stop on Queens Plaza North are a walk away.
Jackson Park is located directly across the street from Tishman Speyer’s newest commercial development, the JACX, the largest new creative office development in New York. Comprised of two 26-story towers and 1.2 million-square-feet of office and retail space as well as a one-acre landscaped terrace, the JACX is more than 70% pre-leased to leading fashion and tech companies including WeWork, which plans to open a 250,000 s/f location. Jackson Park and the JACX will be Long Island City’s largest mixed-use development and once completed, will feature over 55,000 square feet of retail space including a gourmet market, food hall, coffee shop, restaurants and boutique fitness offerings. In addition to its work in Long Island City, Tishman Speyer recently began construction on the Wheeler, a creative office development in Downtown Brooklyn, another neighborhood experiencing rapid growth.
