Utica, NY Deerfield Place, the city’s newest multifamily apartment and townhome community located within minutes of the SUNY Polytechnic Institute campus, celebrated their recent grand opening with an official ribbon cutting ceremony.
Dozens of families and area residents were on hand to tour the community’s unique facilities and mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom garden-style apartments and townhomes. Invitees also heard from special guest speakers from state and local government, and The United Group of Companies Inc. president and CEO Michael Uccellini.
Construction of the sprawling $29.6 million multfamily community began in June 2016, and is centrally-located off of Trenton Rd. on a former bean farm. The community will meet a growing demand for maintenance-free housing in the city, and consists of 21 residential buildings with 156 apartments and townhomes ranging from 1,140 to 1,840 s/f. All units have private entrances, garages, patios or balconies, and laundry units.
Deerfield Place has a wide selection of floor plans for their apartments and townhomes. Every option is equipped with wood finished flooring, granite kitchen and bathroom counters with built-in sinks, stainless steel appliances and substantial closet space.
The community also offers a variety of features including: A spacious clubhouse with kitchen amenities, a lounge area, and a fitness center with treadmills, Smith Machines, exercise bikes, free weights, and ample space for yoga and stretching. Directly behind the clubhouse is a fully furnished patio with outdoor gas fire pit, tables and a community pool.
“Deerfield Place delivers the city of Utica a unique opportunity to live a maintenance-free lifestyle,” said Jacqueline Shafer, regional manager at United Plus Property Management. “Our residents live busy lives; they appreciate the convenience Deerfield Place provides, like snow and trash removal, a 24-hour emergency maintenance crew, and lawn care. Deerfield Place is also designed to accommodate a resident’s desire for privacy, which is why every apartment and townhome has their own private entrance and garage.”
United Group also owns and manages Deerfield Place’s neighboring community, Schuyler Commons, which is an independent senior living community with 144 one- and two-bedroom apartments and a clubhouse with indoor pool.
Additionally, United Group recently completed two other multi-million dollar projects recently:
• College Suites at Hudson Valley, a three story, 147,610 s/f student housing community located in Troy, that will house 268 students in 72 fully-furnished apartment suites; and
• Diamond Oaks Village, a premier independent senior living community for adults aged 55 and over in Bonita Springs, FL.
