Thor Retail Advisors leases 10,000 s/f to Dolce Vita

New York, NY Thor Retail Advisors, a retail real estate advisory firm representing leading global retailers and marquee properties worldwide, has leased the entire building at 53 Mercer St. in SoHo to Dolce Vita.

The high fashion footwear brand will utilize the 10,000 s/f, four-level property for retail and showroom space. This is the first retail store for Dolce Vita, which was acquired by leading footwear brand Steve Madden in 2014.               

“53 Mercer St. in SoHo is the ideal location for Dolce Vita’s first ever retail and showroom space,” said Dan Harroch, senior VP at Thor Retail Advisors. 

“With visibility from Broome and Grand Sts., the prime property is surrounded by luxury residential condominiums, hotels and restaurants.” 

The retail market in SoHo is flourishing, with a number of new stores opening soon including Dolce & Gabbana’s 15,000 s/f flagship and café-restaurant at 155 Mercer St. Other prominent retailers in the immediate area include Louis Vuitton, Prada, Chanel, Kate Spade, Victoria’s Secret, Ted Baker and H&M. 

Nearby on Wooster St., Ray-Ban recently opened its first ever flagship retail store, music hall and artist exhibit.  Furthermore, Thor Retail Advisors represented Balmain for its first U.S. flagship store at 100 Wooster Street, Canada Goose is opening its first U.S. store at 101 Wooster St., Japan’s Tomorrowland leased 3,500 square feet at 476 Broome St., and Frame Denim signed a long-term lease at 51 Greene St.
