Consolo of Douglas Elliman arranges lease for art gallery Nathan A. Bernstein & Co.

New York, NY The Worldwide Leasing & Sales Team ofFaith Hope Consolo at Douglas Elliman arranged a lease for art gallery Nathan A. Bernstein & Co. at 954 Lexington Ave., on the west side of the street, between 69th St. and 70th St., in Manhattan.
Nathan A. Bernstein & Co. is a leader in the international art market, with its focus on building and maintaining comprehensive collections, and has been in business for over 30 years. Its recent exhibitions have showcased masters Monet, Léger, Renoir, Picasso, Klee, as well as contemporary U.S. artists Warhol, Koons and Basquiat and Asian artists Nara and Wang.
The gallery is relocating from 21 East 65th St., near the corner of Madison Ave., to this two-story space on Lexington Ave.

"This was a very savvy move by Nathan from Madison to Lex, and I think we'll see more art galleries following him to open up along this corridor," said Consolo, chairman of the Worldwide Leasing & Sales Team at Douglas Elliman.  "Between 70th and 74th is what we call 'Baby Madison' - it's like a little French neighborhood on the Left Bank, with art galleries, patisseries and all the right shopping, of course."
"Art in New York City thrives, and the big institutions, like the Park Avenue Armory, on Park and 66th, complement the galleries already here, including Gallery 71, a block up on Lex., which make this a neighborhood where collectors come to treasure hunt," Consolo said.
Along this corridor, the Worldwide Leasing & Sales Team arranged the lease for pop art gallery Diamondocity at 958 Lexington and for designer antiques furniture gallery L'Art de Vivre Antiques at 978 Lexington.
In the SoHo art gallery world, the Worldwide Leasing & Sales Teamhas always been active, arranging leases for the renowned Rebecca Hossack Gallery from London at 262 Mott St. and photography gallery LUMAS New York at 362 West Broadway.
The Worldwide Leasing & Sales Team at Douglas Elliman exclusively represented both the landlord and the tenant.
