June 23, 2008 - Brokerage
The Benderson Development Co. has started work on its first area project that will see a Rite Aid Pharmacy anchor a new retail development proposed for Rte. 5 in eastern Erie County. According to Benderson officials, a 15,000 s/f Rite Aid will be the anchor tenant for the new plaza. The store will replace an older Rite Aid in the Pixley's Plaza off of Rte. 93. "This is really a tenant-driven development," said Eric Recoon, Benderson vice president. Besides the Rite Aid, the plaza will include about 10,000 s/f of fill-in retail. Benderson is working with town officials on the project. Construction won't begin until all the local permits and approvals have been obtained.
