Consolo and Aquino of Douglas Elliman lease space to OROGOLD
New York, NY The sales and leasing team of Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, and Joseph Aquino, executive vice president, of Douglas Elliman’s retail group has arranged a lease for skincare company OROGOLD Cosmetics at 333 Bleecker St., between Christopher and West 10th Sts. Consolo and Aquino represented the tenant. The landlord was represented by RIPCO.
The brand, which uses 24-karat gold flecks to promote radiant skin, has 200 stores in markets worldwide, including London, Barcelona, Moscow, Dubai and Singapore, as well as in such U.S. cities as Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Boston and Miami, and throughout California from San Diego to San Francisco.
In 2013, Consolo and Aquino introduced the collection to New York City with a full-building flagship at 118 East 57th St., followed by an East Hampton store at 11 Newtown Lane and then another city location at 780 Madison Ave.
With its fourth expansion in less than two years, OROGOLD is opening on a celebrated shopping street known for its concentration of skincare, cosmetics and fragrance retail, such as Rituals, Aesop, Sisley, Jo Malone, Village Apothecary, MAC Cosmetics, The Organic Pharmacy and NARS.
“The moment OROGOLD opened in New York, I predicted it would quickly outshine other skincare collections,” said Consolo. “The need for expansion has come at a rapid pace and so, once again, we have strategically placed the brand on a street that is internationally recognized for beauty-based retail.”
Aquino said, “The collection fits right into the distinct ‘make up’ of this particular section of the Bleecker St. corridor. It is a well-established hub for stylish retail, as well as a draw for affluent buyers and tourists, which makes it an outstanding location.”
