New York, NY According to Manhattan Skyline Management Corp., Bluemercury, a leading beauty products and spa retail chain, is opening a new Manhattan store at 275 Greenwich St., located at the southeast corner of Warren St. in TriBeCa. Consisting of 2,000 s/f of ground floor space and an additional 800 s/f at the basement level, the new location also features over 100 feet of wrap-around frontage. The 275 Greenwich St. location is expected to open in spring. “The retail store at 275 Greenwich St. is situated on one of the strongest corners in TriBeCa,” said Joshua Roth, vice president of retail leasing at Manhattan Skyline, who represented the landlord. “It’s perfectly positioned to receive great visibility and foot traffic in a booming retail corridor. There’s also a great deal of high-end, new condo development in the neighborhood, and Bluemercury, which was recently acquired by Macy’s, is a terrific addition to the upscale retail mix residents will come to enjoy.” Bluemercury signed a 10-year lease at the property, which was formerly Baluchi’s Indian Food, and was represented byRKF’s Tess Jacoby and John Auber of The Auber Group. The TriBeCa store will be Bluemercury’s newest downtown location as it continues its expansion in Manhattan, where the national luxury chain has several stores. “Downtown Manhattan has seen tremendous growth in recent years, so TriBeCa made sense for Bluemercury’s newest store,” said Jacoby, senior associate at RKF. “With Whole Foods Market across the street and the strong co-tenancy and pedestrian traffic, this was the ideal location. There’s nothing else like Bluemercury in the surrounding area and we’re certain this will be a unique addition to the neighborhood.” Neighboring tenants include TD Bank, Whole Foods Market, Chipotle, Bank of America, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Soul Cycle, Palm Restaurant, T-Mobile, GameStop and Barnes & Noble. An additional 1,040 square feet of retail space will be coming available shortly on the block north of where Bluemercury will be opening.
