Manhattan, NY Stantec has appointed the following individuals to lead the firm’s expanding 120-person architecture and interior design practice:

• Maria Wilpon, principal, AIA Intl. Assoc.: Wilpon has been involved in the planning, design, and construction of new buildings, renovations, and interior design for two decades. An expert on the NYC design community, she is a frequent speaker at industry events. She is a member of AIA, Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), and PWC, for which she serves on the board.

• Brian McFarland, principal, AIA, LEED AP: McFarland has a history of delivering designs for an array of clients, including commercial, cultural, higher education, hospitality, and multifamily residential. His recent work includes the Baltic Residences in Brooklyn, and the Virgin Hotel.

• Sharon Steinberg, senior associate, AIA, LEED AP: Steinberg, managing leader for the architecture studio, has 20 years of experience in interior architecture design for academic, corporate, and institutional buildings. Her design/construction experience and understanding of real estate strategy help guide clients with projects from conception through completion.
