Rosenblum's groundbreaking of 501 Broadway - Troy, NY

Troy, NY City, county and state officials, as well as leaders of the business community, joined representatives from The Rosenblum Companies at 501 Broadway, the former home of the Troy Record newspaper, to celebrate a groundbreaking for Rosenblum’s $23 million mixed-use loft apartment project.

The historically sensitive renovation of the Record Building and construction of a complementary new addition will bring 101 new apartments to the downtown area.  Ground-floor retail space with restaurant-ready infrastructure will also be added along 5^th Ave. and Broadway, creating a valuable extension to the downtown entertainment and business zone.

The Record Building project is the company’s second foray into multifamily development as well as the adaptive reuse of an underutilized building.  In 2011, Rosenblum converted the former Livermore-Traendly auto dealership and repair shop built circa 1928 into 17 Chapel Boutique Condominiums in downtown Albany. 17 Chapel has been cited as a catalyst for that city’s urban housing renaissance.

Construction is anticipated to take approximately 18 months. Leasing of the retail space is being handled by Alex Kutikov for Redmark Realty.
