What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2016?
I was thrilled to be honored with the SMPS-NY Marketing Communications People’s Choice Award for LERA’s rebranding and to be awarded a scholarship to attend the CREW Network Convention from CREW NY. I am so lucky to be part of amazing industry organizations, my involvement is rewarding personally and professionally for my firm. I encourage everyone to get involved with support networks that support you back through business opportunities, career growth and friendship.
What project, transaction, market trend or product had the greatest impact on your industry this year?
The transformation in the healthcare facilities in New York is amazing. LERA is working on the new Kimmel Pavilion for NYU Langone Medical Center, the new building and renovation at Coney Island Hospital and recently completed the new Diana and Roy Vagelos Center for Columbia Medical Center. We were also awarded new projects with Bellevue Medical Center and South Nassau Communities Hospitals. Many of these state-of-the-art projects incorporate storm resiliency into their designs enabling the facilities to stay functional during a weather incident while offering beautiful new buildings that serve the medical needs of their communities.
How will you be supercharging your productivity in 2017?
I am looking forward to celebrating the holidays with my family before tackling 2017! My Mom lives in Vermont, so I enjoy a picturesque New England Christmas.
What emerging trends will drive investment and development in 2017?
Virtual Reality is going to be huge in the real estate industry. LERA is leading with some really exciting virtual reality innovations. Our custom technology enhances design, coordination and construction through virtual and augmented reality. We are working with developers and architects to preview design options in 3D and analyze spaces from various perspectives. We allow users to experience future buildings within its real context with actual views and lines of sight. We have launched a new website to feature our VR services.
