By incorporating the latest developments in technologies, we will be able to improve productivity and provide our clients with better service. Implementing a time management system, for example, not only helps us to manage client engagements, but also fosters internal collaboration—creating cross-functional teams where we are able to advice clients in a holistic capacity, providing value-added services.

What emerging trends will drive investment and development in 2017?

The industry is experiencing change like we have never seen before. The way accounting firms practice will change dramatically. Many of the tasks performed will need to be automated, ranging from audits to tax work, in order to create savings and compete in the marketplace.

It is also an opportunity to spend more time with our clients in an advisory capacity where we can collaborate with them to help them run their businesses more effectively and efficiently.
