East Meadow, NY Kristin LaScala-Goldberg has joined the real estate practice group at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP as an associate. Prior to joining the firm, she was the director of closing operations for Timber Ridge Management, for five years.

For this development company, she managed all aspects of residential real estate transactions for condominium and homeowners associations. During her tenure, she represented the seller and closed over 400 homes in 6 new developments, ranging from 36 to 252 homes per development. In this fast paced and deadline driven atmosphere, she honed her skills in drafting and negotiating contracts, and coordinated with internal and external teams to ensure compliance with the delivery schedule. She is well-versed in the New York State regulations governing the preparation of offering plans, and the Attorney General approval process.

Previously, she was a Litigation Associate at Schneider Mitola for one year where she oversaw 100 active foreclosure and common charge/maintenance collection matters. In this role, she represented the Boards in foreclosure actions against homeowners, and as creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.

While attending law school, she was a Sales Closing Administrator for Pulte Homes, Inc. LaScala-Goldberg coordinated closings for condominium and homeowners association units, which required the review and clearance of title exceptions and the preparation of closing statements. Her employer selected her to attend, along with other future leaders in the United States, a training seminar in Corporate Foundations of Management.

LaScala-Goldberg attended the part-time evening division of the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and graduated in 2008. She was the Events Coordinator for the Part-Time Student Organization. From Long Island University/CW Post in 2004, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in management.

She is admitted to practice in the State of New York, and in the Federal Court, Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.

A member of the Long Island Board of Realtors, Ms. LaScala-Goldberg is a Licensed Real Estate Broker and a New York State Notary Public.
