How did you get your start in real estate?

I worked for a commercial real estate firm in Los Angeles and then moved to my current engineering consulting firm.

What real estate associations or organizations are you a member of?

Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), New York Chapter

What recent project or transaction are you most proud of?

The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) recognized SGH’s National September 11 Memorial and Museum slurry wall resupport project in New York with a National Recognition Award. Earlier in the year, this project received a Diamond Award from the ACEC New York chapter. The “bathtub” slurry wall at the World Trade Center (WTC) site survived when the WTC towers collapsed. Consequently, the wall became a symbol of endurance, and WTC site redevelopers called for a section of the wall to be incorporated and remain exposed within the National September 11 Museum. Working with Davis Brody Bond Architects, Langan, and Guy Nordenson Associates, SGH provided investigative and design services to evaluate, analyze, and design strengthening for a portion of the existing slurry wall. I am extremely proud to work for a firm that puts forth such honorable work.

What recent honor, achievement or recognition has meant the most to you and why?

My 2016 nomination as vice president/president-elect of SMPS NY has meant the world to me. I am grateful for this incredible honor and for the opportunity to lead the largest chapter of this national organization. In this leadership position, I look forward to helping my A/E/C marketing peers achieve success for their firms and move forward on their path to a fulfilling career.
