What recent project or transaction are you most proud of?
I had the good fortune of representing both Coach and L’Oreal at 10 Hudson Yards. Watching the building rise, transform the skyline and create an extraordinary home for two outstanding organizations has been a truly wonderful experience.
What recent honor, achievement or recognition has meant the most to you and why?
I was recently awarded REBNY’s Robert T. Lawrence Award for Most Ingenious Deal of the Year with two of my colleagues for a transaction that we completed for LinkedIn. It was an extraordinary moment to be recognized by the industry and my colleagues in real estate.
What have been some of the benefits of being a mentor or having a mentor?
I think the amazing benefits works both ways. I learn so much from those who take the time to be a mentor to me, while I also learn quite a lot from those whom I have an opportunity to mentor. And learning should happen every day.
Who or what has been the strongest influence on your career and why?
I have had the incredible fortune of working with Mary Ann Tighe from the early days of my career – and she has been a wonderful mentor and sponsor. The opportunity to learn from such a distinguished professional has been extraordinary.
What time management strategies do you find to be the most effective for you?
I make a lot of lists and rely upon my calendar to manage my time. The other important consideration is collaboration. Sometimes, my time is not best spent on a certain task, so it’s best to collaborate with someone who can help – and achieve the goal better and faster. The power of teamwork is paramount.
What is the best advice you have received and who was it from?
Someone once told me that hard work only takes you part of the way. Building your network and putting yourself out there is important too.
